Stanley Claude Bryanton

1917 - 2011
The death occurred peacefully with his family at his side at the Atlantic Baptist Nursing Home on Tuesday, May 31, 2011 of Mr. Stanley Claude Bryanton, of Charlottetown and formerly of Spring Valley, in his 94th year. Beloved husband of Setsuko Bryanton. 

Dear father of John Stanley (Elizabeth) Bryanton, Claudia O’ Meara, Marilyn Waddle of Kentucky, Teri (Ray Sr.) Smith, Dave (Janet) Bryanton. Stanley is also fondly remembered by grandchildren Shane Bryanton, Lisa Bryanton-Furukawa, Erin Ehret, Len O’Meara, Elizabeth Waddle, Ray Jr. and Tanya Smith, Kelly Judson, Matthew and Megan Bryanton, and 13 great-grandchildren, and sister Irene (Ron) McClarty. 

Stanley is also fondly remembered by the mother of his children Elizabeth Standing. 

He was predeceased by his son William Douglas, sisters and brothers Ruby, June, Lloyd, Harold and Evelyn, and sons-in-law Gerald O’Meara and Jerry Waddle. 

He was a past president of Branch #1 of the Royal Canadian Legion. 

Resting at the Cutcliffe Funeral Home from where the funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel Friday afternoon at 2 p.m. Interment will take place later in the family plot at the People’s Cemetery, Charlottetown. 

If so desired memorials in Stanley’s memory may be made to Park Royal United Church or the Poppy Campaign.

Lillan Bulger Andries

1935 - 2918
At Montreal, Quebec on January 5, 2018 of Lillian Andries formerly of Charlottetown age 83 years. Daughter of the late Michael and Isabell Bulger. Wife of the late Peter Andries. Sister of Lorraine Doucette, Helen Bird, Michael Bulger, Kathy Bell and David Bulger. She was predeceased by her siblings, John, George, Eugene, Rose Marie, Gerald, Louis, Patricia and Veronica. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, July 18, 2018 at St. Pius X Church, Charlottetown at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in the Roman Catholic Cemetery. George C. (Bill) Burden

The death occurred at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Saturday, March 6, 2010 of George C. (Bill) Burden of Charlottetown, age 85 years. Veteran of World War II. Beloved husband of Joan. Dear father of Bill (Janice), Brenda (Bill) Fleming and Steve Burden. Grandfather of Victoria and Willis Burden and David, Julie and Robin Fleming. Son of the late Ada M. (nee Campbell) and Issac E. Burden, brother of Lucille Martin, and predeceased by sisters Margaret MacIntyre and Gladys Mabey and brother James Burden. Fondly remembered by Carol Reid. Peacefully at the Provincial Palliative Care Centre on Saturday, June 29, 2019 of John Wendell “Cy” Burke in his 86th year. He is survived by his partner and best friend Bernadette Milligan Peters of 36 years. Dear father to Fran (Gerry) Andrew, Darlene (Eric) Noel, Mike Burke, Lynn Burke-Davis and to step children, Carolyn, Kim, David, Jeffrey, Kenneth and Sharon. Grandfather of 18 grandchildren and great grandfather to 7 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister Shirley Doyle (Rae) and brother Art Burke (Bev). He was predeceased by his parents Anthony and Julia “Lillie” (Gallant) Burke, sister Mary Ryan (J.R. Rockey), brothers Clarence (Eileen), Lorne (Beryl), Frank Burke and son-in-law Gary Davis. We are grateful for the wonderful care he received at the Q.E.H. and the P.P.C. The staff at the Palliative Care Centre welcomed us and was caring and helpful to Cy and family. We want to thank them for all of their kind words and support. At this time, on behalf of the Executive and Branch Members of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch # 1, Charlottetown, we would like to offer our sincere condolences to the family and friends of Comrade Cy (John Wendell) Burke.  Cy lost his battle to cancer in the early morning hours and has left a void that no one will replace.  Cy is a Lifetime Member of the branch and has been an avid supporter of the Branch right up until his passing.   His gentle demeanour and his soft spoken voice will continue to be heard for a very long time.  We offer our prayers and thoughts to the many family members who mourn the passing of a wonderful gentleman.  Rest in Peace our dear friend Cy!

Maurice Frederick "Moe" Burke

1931 - 2013
At Beach Grove Home on Friday, March 8, 2013 of Maurice "Moe" F. Burke of Charlottetown, age 81 years. Survived by daughters Shirley MacLean and Betty MacKinnon. Step-father of Peggy Ruge, George Anderson (Wendy), Gloria Anderson and Marilyn Anderson. Grandfather of Wally Anderson and Samantha MacKinnon (Ryan Hughes). Brother of Rod (Joyce), Alex, Donald (Sharon), Tom, Georgina Pineau (Jerry), Shirley Burke and Heather Currie (Fred). Father-in-law of David MacKinnon. Predeceased by his wife Laura Dunphy, Eileen Anderson (children’s mother), granddaughter Amy MacLean, son-in-law Francis "Dukie" MacLean and by his brothers Gerard, in infancy, Bill, Wilfred, Dave and Dr. Frank. Resting at Belvedere Funeral Home from where the funeral will be held in the funeral home chapel on Monday at 10 am. Interment later in the CatholicCemetery, Charlottetown. David Brenton "Spud" Cameron

2013
David Brenton (Spud) Cameron Age 76 of East Royalty passed away peacefully in Charlottetown, with loving family by his side on Feb 22, 2013. Born in Hampton, PEIJune 11, 1936, Brent was the oldest son of the late David Cameron and Winifred Cameron Miller (Farrow).

Brent proudly served his country as a member of the Royal Canadian Navy for 22 years as a Sonar Technician. Upon his retirement he managed the Wagon Wheel Lounge in Shannon Park for many years. Dad loved relaxing at the family cottage in East Jeddore and in his young Navy days enjoyed many fishing trips to Mooseland with his buddies, where great times were had by all.
In 1981 Brent and his family moved home to Prince Edward Island. An avid reader and outdoorsman, his passions included reading numerous newspapers from cover to cover with his black lab Brooke by his side, boating, fishing and clam digging – there isn’t a sandbar in PEI that he hasn’t taken a shovel to. A lifelong hockey fan, his favourite hockey team was the Toronto Maple leafs with a close second being the Boston Bruins.

Brent was very close to and adored his family and is survived by his loving wife Verna Cameron (MacLeod), daughters Joanne (Calvin) Ehler, Dartmouth, Darlene, Dartmouth, sons David (Mickey) Cameron, Mount Uniacke, Steven, Charlottetown, Craig, Charlottetown, sister Florence (John) Cameron, Earnscliffe PEI, brother Charlie, Charlottetown, 7 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and 8 nieces and nephews.

Brent was predeceased by his parents, sister Myrna Bingley and brother Bob Cameron.

A special thanks go out to the wonderful staff at the Charlottetown Prince Edward Home(Palliative care unit) his family doctor Dr. Harold Molyneaux, and Island EMS.

Visitation will be Friday, March 1st 2013, 7 – 9 pm. Memorial service will take place 2 pmSaturday, March 2nd, 2013 at Hillsboro Funeral Home,

At the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Friday, June 25, 2010, of Gerald (Gerry) Francis Carroll, Second World War veteran, Charlottetown, age 86 years.
Brother of Roberta LaBelle (Leo) and nephew to O'Leary and Mary Curley, Dartmouth, N.S. Remembered by numerous nieces and nephews. Gerry was a long-time friend of Mary and the late Danny Larter "the barber".
Predeceased by his parents, Parker and Mary (Curley) Carroll; by his brothers, Edward and Linus (Ethel); and by his sister, Catherine Mary Penn.

Peacefully at his home in Charlottetown on Sunday, January 24, 2016 of Rupert Chandler of Charlottetown, Veteran of the Second World War, age 91 years.

Beloved husband of the late Frances (McAleer) Chandler, and dear father of John Murray (Linda), Michael (Alison), Margaret Chandler, Allan (dec) (Beryl), David (dec) and Pamela MacNevin (dec) (Darrell dec). Loving Grampy to Mark and Ryan Chandler, Roberta and Jason MacNevin, Mike Chandler, Gregory, Robert and Danielle Chandler and Great Grampy to numerous great grandchildren. Special Uncle to Mary Chandler and Sylvia Thistle. Rupert was the last surviving member of his immediate family, being predeceased by his parents Richard and Melinda (Gallant) Chandler, and siblings George, Sandy, Priscilla, Helen, Ernie, Florence and Wallace.

Beloved husband of Eleanor (nee MacDonald) and loving father of Danny Cheverie (Maureen Kelly), Gary Cheverie (Cindy Murphy) and Trudy Campbell (Colin). George will be remembered by his grandchildren - Nicholas Cheverie, Katie Cheverie, Sarah Cheverie, Adam Campbell and Jake Campbell and siblings - Dorothy MacDonald (Ronnie - deceased) and Margaret Gillis ( Daniel - deceased). He was predeceased by his parents Neil and Annie (nee McVaine) Cheverie and siblings - Joe Cheverie, Mary Ann Sweeney (Raymond), Catherine Carroll (Eddy), Pius Cheverie (Bernice) and Howard Cheverie (Eleanor).
