Peggy M. Dillon

2017
Passed peacefully Saturday, June 3, 2017 at the Dr. John M. Gillis Memorial Lodge, of Peggy Dillon of Stratford, age 91 years. 

Beloved wife of the late Frederick Dillon and loving mother of Brian (Carol - deceased), Derek and Diane Dillon (Gerald). Peggy will be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren - Jeffrey and Erin Dillon and great grandchildren - Andrew and Sean Dillon. She was predeceased by her parents - Stephen and May (nee Tompkins) Dunn and her brother - Alan Dunn. 

Peggy served in The British Army, Auxiliary Territorial Service (ATS) at the Regimental HQ, of The Scotsguards, London during the Second World War. 

Resting at Hillsboro Funeral Home, 2 Hollis Ave., Stratford for visitation Tuesday, June 6, 2017 from 2 - 5 PM. Funeral service will be held Wednesday, June 7, 2017 at the Stratford Chapel - Hillsboro Funeral Home at 2 PM. Interment will follow at the Roman Catholic Cemetery. 

The Charlottetown Legion, Royal Canadian Branch #1 will hold a service prior to visitation at 1:45 PM.

As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.

Peacefully at the Park West Lodge on Monday, October 8, 2012 of Mr. Allan T. Doucette of Charlottetown age 92 years. Beloved Spouse of Agatha MacDonald and dear brother of Ivan Doucette. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers Emmett, Harold, George, Elmer and Clifford and his sister Mamie Doucette. 
Resting at the Hennessey Funeral Home until 1:45 Thursday then transferred to St. Dunstan’s Basilica for funeral mass at 2 p.m. Interment to follow in the family plot in the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Charlottetown.

Peacefully at the Provincial Palliative Care Unit on Tuesday, July 8, 2014 of Joseph A. Doucette of Charlottetown, in his 82nd year. Dear brother of Walter Doucette, Toni Banks and Barb Condon. He is also survived by sister-in-law, Phyllis Doucette, and numerous nieces and nephews.He was predeceased by his parents, Ferdiand and Pauline (nee Doiron) Doucette, sisters and brothers, Stella Humble, Edward "Buddy" Doucette, Louie Doucette, Bernard Doucette, Bernice Doucette and Rita O’Keefe.

DOUCETTE, Walter Henry Peacefully, with family by his side at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Sunday, October 27, 2019 of Walter Doucette of Charlottetown age 85 years. Beloved husband of the late Teresa (nee Brown) Doucette and dear father of Janice (Billy) Smith, David (Kathy Cudmore), Patty (Randy) Good, and Cory (Renee Preston). He was Poppy to five loving grandchildren Kathleen Doucette-deceased, Angela and Jill Smith, Taylor-Jane Birt and Sophie Doucette; sister, Barb Condon; numerous nieces, nephews and the Brown Family. He was predeceased by his parents Ferdinand and Pauline (Doiron) Doucette; his brothers and sisters Louie, Edward (Buddy), Joe, Bernard, Bernice, Stella, Toni, and Rita; daughter-in-law Eileen Doucette, and son-in-law Melvin Birt. William (Billy) Doucette

2017
It is with heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our dad, William (Billy Bob) Doucette, aged 77, of North Rustico, peacefully and with family by his side, at the home of his daughter and son-in-law, on Tuesday, April 11, 2017. 

Billy was the much loved father of Debbie Yeo (Stephen), Linda Doucette (Paul Blackett), Terrence Doucette and Marsha Doucette (David Gallant); beloved grandfather of Kelly Yeo (Ryan Mann), Lori Stordy (Nick), Jonathan Toombs and Matthew Doucette; great-grandfather of Rylee Lynn Mann; and special uncle of Thane Mullins (Maureen). He is also survived by his brothers, Donald Doucette and Bennett Doucette (Mary); brothers-in-law Joseph and Harold Saulnier; sister-in-law, Kathleen Doucette (Barry); and family friend, Terry Lee Gibbs (Stevie). 

Billy was predeceased by his wife of 51 years, Carol (Saulnier) Doucette; parents, Bob and Louise (Peters) Doucette; parents-in-law, Victor and Bertha Saulnier; brothers, Reginald, Vernon and Lloyd Doucette; brother-in-law, Wendell Saulnier; sisters-in-law, Mary and Joan Saulnier, Dorothy, Catherine and Edith Doucette; and niece, Shelley Mullins. 

Resting at Central Queen’s Funeral Home, 2538 Glasgow Road, New Glasgow, for visitation on Saturday, April 15, 2017, from 4 to 7 p.m. The Royal Canadian Legion will hold a service of remembrance at 3:30 p.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated at Stella Maris Roman Catholic Church, North Rustico, on Monday, April 17, 2017, at 10:30 a.m. Interment in the Stella Maris Cemetery.

Peacefully at the Prince Edward Home on Tuesday, January 29, 2019 of Emmett Dougan (the last surviving member of the Dougan family) of Charlottetown and formerly of Donaldston in his 89th year. Beloved husband of the late Shirley (nee Bernard) Dougan and dear father of Bill (Paula), Rick (Zita) and Karen Smith. Loving grandfather to Shauna (Matt), Lynn (Phil) Dunlop, Beverley Dougan (Allan Stewart), Catherine (Darren) Ford, Sheena (Andrew) Russell, Lacey (Jarvis) Simmonds, Sarah Dougan (Brodie MacPhee), Emma Dougan (Alex Taylor) and great grandfather of 13. He was predeceased by his parents, John and Florence (nee Smith) Dougan of Donaldston; and 11 brothers, Leo (Margaret), Frank, Patrick (Sophie), Thomas (Eleanor), Jack (Evelyn), Joseph (Norma), Vincent (Marie), Frederick (Joyce), Justin, Maurice (Anita) and Charles (Frances). "Sis" Dowling (nee Thistle) and dear father of Anne Marie (Alan) Molyneaux, Denise (Don) Gallant, Leo "Butch" (Bernadette), Paul (Jeannie), Gerry (Frances), Charlie (Chitosa), Pat (Michele) and Gene (Isabelle). Loving grandfather of 19 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.Also survived by his sister, Phyllis (Ralph Sr.) Josey: brothers and sisters-in-law Eugene McNeill, Mary Long, Joe (Sylvia) Thistle and Mark (Betty) Thistle.

Predeceased by his parents Leo and Esther (nee Doncaster) Dowling; brothers, Jimmy Dowling and Kelvin Dowling; sisters, Dolores McNeill and Sheila Thomson.

Peacefully, surrounded by love, at the Palliative Care Unit of the Prince Edward Home on Sunday, February 22nd, 2009 of Mr. O. Ross Down, Veteran of World War II, former postmaster, age 86 years.

Beloved husband of 62 years of Jean (nee Hamm) Down, and much loved Dad of Jon (Carolyn) of Devon, AB, Janet (Wayne) MacQuarrie of Stratford, and Kathy (Rob) Mackay of Victoria, BC.

“Gramps/Grandad” is fondly remembered by grandchildren Andrew, Nathan, Marcus and Jonathan Down, Matthew and Kate (Colin MacBeath) MacQuarrie, and Scott and Daniel Mackay; sisters Doris (Bert) Dinsmore of Victoria, BC and Shirley Sherren of Charlottetown; sisters-in-law Ramona of Montreal, QC, Audrey of Calgary, AB, Carol of Rustico, and Betty McLaine of Charlottetown.

He was predeceased by parents Augustus and Gladys (Ross) Downe, brothers Don, Gus and Kenny, and sister Pauline.

The death occurred peacefully at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Tuesday, May 5, 2015 of Ernie Doyle, Second World War veteran, of Savage Harbour, in his 93rd year.
Beloved husband of the late Norma Doyle and dear father of Cheryl (Robert) Walsh, Brenda Lee (Parker) MacDonald and Eddie (Janet) Doyle. Ernie will also be sadly missed but fondly remembered by his grandchildren, Penny (Ryan) Walsh-McGuire, Kyler Walsh, Kendra (Pete) Pasciucco, Kelsey MacDonald and Jillian, Erin and Lydia Doyle. Dear brother of Earl (Joan), Helen and Anne. He is also survived by his brother-in-law, Elwood Donnelly; sisters-in-law, Denise, Irene and Pauline Doyle and numerous nieces and nephews.
Besides his wife, Ernie was predeceased by his parents, Barbara and Elisha Doyle, sisters Ethel, Veronica, Mary, and brothers Ronnie, Foncie, Bernie, John A., Gerald and Leonard.

The death occurred at Whisperwood Villa on Monday, December 8, 2008, of Mr. Joe Doyle, formerly of King St., Charlottetown, in his 83rd year. Beloved husband of the late Gertrude Doyle (nee MacGuigan). Joe is lovingly remembered by his sister, Maureen Fullerton, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sisters, Tina, Pauline, Anne, and his brothers Leonard and Art. Resting at the Hennessey Funeral Home from where the funeral will be held on Thursday at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Charlottetown. Visiting hours will be held in the chapel on Thursday from 9:30 until time of funeral.

Passed peacefully Saturday, March 28, 2015 at the Prince Edward Home of Leo Doyle of Charlottetown, age 93 years, veteran of World War II.

Beloved husband of the late Mary Doyle (nee White). Leo is survived by his sisters Kay Doyle and May Williams; sister-in-law, Jean White and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister, Mary Ethel CSM and brother-in-laws, John Williams and Walter White. 

Leo was a former President of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #1 Charlottetown and a former President of the P.E.I. Royal Canadian Legion Provincial Command. 

Resting at Hillsboro Funeral Home, 2 Hollis Ave., Stratford for visitation Tuesday, March 31, 2015 from 4-7 PM. Royal Canadian Legion Charlottetown Branch #1 will hold a service of remembrance at the funeral home Tuesday 3:45 PM. Funeral mass will be celebrated Wednesday, April 1, 2015 at St. Dunstan’s Basilica at 10 AM. Interment will take place later at the Roman Catholic Cemetery.
