Veteran of World War II
At the Prince Edward Home on Wednesday, March 19, 2014 of Howard Adolphus Cheverie of Charlottetown age 90 years. Loving husband of Eleanor (Hughes). Beloved and cherished father of David (Rosanne), Donna McInnis (Peter) and Debbie Dodds (Richard) and the best Poppy to Riley Howard Cheverie and Erin Dodds. Brother of Pius Cheverie (Bernice, deceased), George Cheverie (Eleanor), Margaret Gillis (Danny, deceased), and Dorothy MacDonald (Ronnie, deceased). Lovingly remembered by numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Neil and Ann (MacDonald) Cheverie and by his siblings Joe Cheverie, Mary Ann Sweeney (Raymond), Catherine Carroll (Eddie) and by his brother-in-law Miley MacMillan. Resting at Belvedere Funeral Home until Saturday at 9:45, then to St. Pius X Church for funeral mass at 10:00 a.m. Interment later in the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Charlottetown. Visitation on Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or PEI Lung Association. Charlottetown Branch #1 of the Royal Canadian Legion will hold a service at the funeral home on Friday at 7:00 p.m.

Irene (MacPherson) Clark

1921 - 2011
At the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Saturday, April 23, 2011 of Irene Clark of Charlottetown, Veteran of WWII . Beloved wife of the late Roy Leard Clark. Daughter of the late Malcolm and Margaret MacPherson. Loving mother to Barry (Judy), Danny (Eileen), Donna (Andrew) Hurry and Darlene (predeceased) and her husband Wilfred McKenna. Grandmother of Amie, Jeremy (Alicja), Ashley (Ben), Jason (Natasha), Jenna, and Whitney (Joey)Clark, Dylan and Natasha (predeceased) Hurry, Stephanie (Chad) Lund, Michelle (Adam), Angela, Joshua McKenna and Shannon Gregory. Great-grandmother of Dawson, Kaiden, and Alexis Lund. Survived by sister Annie Webster and predeceased by sisters Belle, Rita, Mariam, Phyllis and brothers John Alex, Daniel, and Duncan. 
 
Resting at the MacLean Funeral Home Swan Chapel. Funeral Wednesday from Central Christian Church at 2 p.m. Interment later in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens. Visiting hours Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p .m. The Royal Canadian Legion will hold a service of remembrance at the funeral home on Tuesday at 6:45 P.M. Sydney Wilson Clay

1921 - 2011
At his home on Friday, May 27, 2011 of Syd Clay of Charlottetown, age 90 Yrs. Beloved husband of 64 Yrs. to Minnie Clay (nee Downe) and loving father of David Clay (Elizabeth) and Cam Clay (Ruth Ann).

Sydney is also survived by his grandchildren - Jacqueline, Johnna, Jeremy, Christopher, Cheryl and Scott; great-grandchildren - Sydney, Ashley, Matilda, Aiden, Wilson and Ella Minnie; sister - Beatrice; sisters-in-law, Roma Slomer, Kallie Wood and Jessie Downe and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by brothers - Will and Cyril; sisters - Dorothy, Evelyn and Gladys; brothers-in-law and sisters-in law, Bob and Gladys Downe, Ed and Flo Downe, Hawley and Floss Crockett, Bob Slomer, Jack Herman, Russell Downe and Olive and Bert Hencher.

Resting at Hillsboro Funeral Home, 2 Hollis Ave., Stratford for visitation on Monday, May 30, 4-7 P.M. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 31 at 2 P.M. at Stratford Chapel, Hillsboro Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Sherwood Cemetery.

Wilfred "Bud" Constable

1930 - 2012
The death occurred at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Thursday, January 12, 2012 of Mr. Wilfred “Bud” Constable of Charlottetown in his 82nd year. 

Beloved husband of the late Joyce Constable (nee Howatt), and dear father of Margie Constable, Jim (Val), Ken (Bernie), Hal, Gary, Doug (Marlene) and Marilyn Constable. He is also lovingly remembered by his 18 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. 

Bud was the last surviving member of his family being predeceased by his brothers and sisters Wesley, Robert, Bess, Mabel, Rollie, Ralph, and also his grandson Ryan. 

Resting at the Cutcliffe Funeral Home from where the funeral service will be held on Sunday at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in the Winsloe North United Church Cemetery.

Visiting hours will be held on Saturday 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. If so desired memorial contributions may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Arthritis Society of P.E.I.

Peacefully at the Northumberland Hills Hospital in Cobourg on Monday, December 17th, 2012, in his 71styear. Beloved husband of Barb (nee Hillier). Loving father of Michael, Kimberley and Darin (Samantha). He will be sadly missed by his 8 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, 5 brothers and 3 sisters. Visitation to be held at MacCoubrey Funeral Home, 30 King St. E. in Cobourg on Friday, December 21 from 7-9 pm. A service will be held in the chapel on Saturday, December 22 at 10:30 am. Beloved husband of the late Ruth (nee Duffy) Croken, and dear father of Janice (Fred) Gallant, Karen (John) Gaudet, and Alison (Mike) Chandler. 

Loving grampie to Leslie (T. J.) Condon, Andrea (Chris) Young, Laura, Monica, David and Robert Gaudet, and Mike Chandler. Great grampie to Katlyn, Samantha, Christopher, Summer, Sophie, and Bethany. 

Resting at the Hennessey Funeral Home until 9:45 on Saturday morning, then transferred to the Church of the Most Holy Redeemer for funeral mass at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow in the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Charlottetown.

Predeceased by his wife Marjorie (nee Munn) and by his son Ian, by his brother Carl (Ferne) and by his brother-in-law, Allison Mutch. Peacefully at his home on Friday, September 14, 2012, of Joseph Curley of Watervale and formerly of Boston, Mass., age 81 years. Beloved husband of the late Kathleen Curley (nee McKenna) and loving father of Maureen Wall (Walter), Jo-Anne Grennell, Kevin Curley and Kathy Shidler (Greg). Joe is also survived by his grandchildren Ryan and Luke Wall, James, Vincent and Victor Grennell and Leo, Kaitlyn and Gregory Shidler; great-grandson Alex Grennell; brother John Curley (Anne) and sister Anita MacLean (Neil). He was predeceased by his parents James and Rose Curley; sister Theresa Renney and his brothers Melvin, Harold, Eugene and Cecil. Father of Myrna Judson, Grandfather of John and  Alfred.  He is remembered by numerous nieces and nephews. Thomas was the last surviving member of the Thomas and Mae Dawson family. He was predeceased by sisters Thelma, Della, Rita and Muriel and brothers George, Sydney, Blaine, Fred and Alec. Peacefully at Beach Grove Home on Thursday, November 13, 2008, of Fred Dillon, veteran of the Second World War, of 112 Mason Rd., Stratford, age 90 years. Beloved husband of Peggy Dillon (nee Dunn) and loving father of Brian, Derek and Diane Dillon (Gerald). Fred is also survived by his grandson, Jeffrey Dillon (Lurene) and his granddaughter, Erin Dillon. He was predeceased by his daughter-in-law, Carol Dillon (nee Ward); brothers, William, Jack and Charles Dillon; and sisters, Mae, Margaret, Edith and Kitty. Passed peacefully Saturday, June 3, 2017 at the Dr. John M. Gillis Memorial Lodge, of Peggy Dillon of Stratford, age 91 years. 

Beloved wife of the late Frederick Dillon and loving mother of Brian (Carol - deceased), Derek and Diane Dillon (Gerald). Peggy will be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren - Jeffrey and Erin Dillon and great grandchildren - Andrew and Sean Dillon. She was predeceased by her parents - Stephen and May (nee Tompkins) Dunn and her brother - Alan Dunn. 

Peggy served in The British Army, Auxiliary Territorial Service (ATS) at the Regimental HQ, of The Scotsguards, London during the Second World War. 

Resting at Hillsboro Funeral Home, 2 Hollis Ave., Stratford for visitation Tuesday, June 6, 2017 from 2 - 5 PM. Funeral service will be held Wednesday, June 7, 2017 at the Stratford Chapel - Hillsboro Funeral Home at 2 PM. Interment will follow at the Roman Catholic Cemetery.

He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers Emmett, Harold, George, Elmer and Clifford and his sister Mamie Doucette. 
Resting at the Hennessey Funeral Home until 1:45 Thursday then transferred to St. Dunstan’s Basilica for funeral mass at 2 p.m. Interment to follow in the family plot in the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Charlottetown.
